Public Transportation  

Taking the metro, use the Orange Line to the Courthouse Stop. Exit the station through the entrance at Courthouse Plaza, then turn left, and head east on 15th Street to the corner of N. Courthouse Road. Additional transportation includes the ART Bus Lines 41, 45, 77, and Metro Bus 4B - which stops at 38B, two blocks from Bayou Bakery. The restaurant is a short walk from 2 Capital Bikeshare stations, located on N. Uhle Street, either at Wilson Boulevard or 15th Street.

Parking

Metered parking is available on the surrounding streets and in the parking lot situated catty-corner to the restaurant. Additional parking includes a garage on the left-hand side, when heading east on 15th Street.

First things first:  Bayou Bakery, Coffee Bar & Eatery is open for business. We want to assure you that Bayou Bakery and the staff are vigilant where our guests’ health and safety are concerned. 

We’ve always taken strong measures in adhering to strict industry health standards, and this past year has increased our awareness to take extra steps such as additional cleanings, using single-use cleaning products, installation of plastic perforations between guests and staff, and re-educating our whole staff on health and safety measures. 

Action was taken to create a super clean environment. The kitchen was gutted and remodeled, the dining room refurbished, and the bathrooms were modified for a hands-free experience.

The vintage charm remains, but a refresher coat of paint throughout the eatery adds cheerful new hues of pastel blue, yellow, and green that grace the walls and makes for colorful furnishings inside and outside on the patio.
